Frances R. Rines, age 74, passed away at her home in Hockessin, DE on December 12, 2023. She was raised in Chester, PA and was a graduate of Notre Dame de Namur Catholic Girls High School in 1968. Fran was a longtime employee of the Delaware County Courts and was longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Charity. Following her retirement she went on to work at Lowes where she was often recognized for her work ethic and dedication, and was the recipient of many accolades and awards. Fran loved her work family at Lowes and took great pride in her accomplishments there. She enjoyed baking cookies, especially around the holidays, watching QVC and her soap operas, which she called "her stories". Fran loved traveling whether it was to the Outer Banks with her family, to Mexico and the Shore with her bestfriends Robert and Lu or to the casinos. She took great joy in playing the penny slots at Delaware Park. Above all else Fran enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and new great granddaughter, Amelia. She is the daughter of the late Steven and Filomena LaSpada and wife of 40 years to the late William "Mike" Rines Survivors: Her loving son: Robert Erle Jr. (Barbara), her siblings: Steven LaSpada and Carmella (nee. LaSpada) Kelly, her niece: Barbara Fedena (Danielle Simpson-Fedena), her cherished grandchildren: Kyle and Kayla, her great granddaughter: Amelia, and her great nephew: Jimmy. Visitation: Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 9:00am-11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014.
