Obituary

Frances T. Kwapisz (Nee Mirasola) age 92, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on January 4, 2023. Frances graduated from Chester High School in 1949 and was a teacher at St. Hedwig's Parochial School in Chester and then Holy Saviour- St. John Fisher Parochial School in Linwood. Most recently, Frances was employed by the Delaware County Courthouse in Media, PA. A devout Catholic, Frances was dedicated to her Church, St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Chester where she was an Eucharistic minister, a member of the Our Lady of Fatima Sodality, a volunteer with the Memorial Mass Communion Breakfast and the Christmas and Easter processions. Frances also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post #921, the ladies auxiliary for the American Legion Post #546 Szymanski-Rywacki in Chester, PA and the Polish National Alliance. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Rumpolo) Mirasola and loving wife of the late Chester Stanley Kwapisz who passed away in 1973. Frances was preceded in death by her siblings: Theresa Puzzanchera, Steven Mirasola, Jennie Fabiano, Frank Mirasola, and Nancy Della-Vecchio. Survivors: Her Children: Stanley Kwapisz (Margie), Michael Kwapisz (Lisa), and Roseann Manko (Christopher), a sister, Florence Gerns, a brother, Richard Mirasola, 6 grandchildren: Brian Kwapisz (Mary), Danielle Yarber (Jake), Kate Shields (Ryan), Matthew Owens, Tara Redding, Sean Redding, 9 great grandchildren: Kayla, Colin, Caroline, Emma, Maddison, Matthew, Patrick, Joey, and Avery, and many loving great nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:15am-10:45am at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church 2623 W. 4th Chester, PA 19013 Funeral Mass: Friday, January 13,2023 at 11:00am at St. Hedwig's Church. Burial: Held privately for her family. In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made in Frances name to either Bernadine Franciscan Sisters at 450 St Bernadine St. Reading, PA 19607, St. Hedwig's Catholic Church 2623 W. 4th Chester, PA 19013, or a charity of your choice.
