Francis Xavier Cunniffe, 83, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on January 3, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Helen Cunniffe, and devoted father to Francine Cunniffe and Kathleen (Michel) Cunniffe-Peña. Francis was the youngest son of Irish immigrants, the late James and Mary Cunniffe, from County Mayo, and the "baby" brother to Sister Margaret OSF, Anne (Fred) Calabrese, and to the late John, Mary Stenson, the Reverand James SCJ, Bernie, Margaret Cleaves, and Thomas (survived by his wife Rosemary). After moving from Havertown to Garnet Valley, Frank was an active neighbor, prankster, and friend to many at Foxfield 55+ community, and served on the social committee for several years. He was always generous with his time and willing to lend a helping hand, and the family is deeply grateful for his friends there who did the same for him when he needed it most. Family and friends are invited to a visitation followed by a funeral mass at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naaman's Road, Wilmington, DE on Saturday, January 13th. The visitation will begin at 10am, with the funeral mass following at 11am. There will be a luncheon to follow.
