Francis "Mickey" McDevitt, age 88 , died February 1, 2016. Mickey was born and raised in Philadelphia and honorably served his country in the US Navy. He was a longtime resident of Prospect Park before moving to Lakeland, FL. For the last 11 years, he resided in Upper Chichester Twp. Mickey worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier in SW Philadelphia. He was an avid Phillies and Flyers fan and enjoyed golfing during his residency in Florida. Mickey was a great handy man and was known to be able to fix just about anything.
Mickey was married for 62 years to the late Theresa (McCann) McDevitt. He was the brother of the late Ann Conroy, Marge Wurzbach, Charles, John, and Tom McDevitt.
SURVIVORS: his children: Patrick J. McDevitt (Julie) and Terri Wright (Mark); his siblings: Rosemary O'Donnell, Kitty Emsley, James, and Bill McDevitt; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday from 10-11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. Funeral Service: 11:00 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston.
