Frieda K. Mitchell NEE Kates, age 78 , died June 27, 2016 at Naamans Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley. Frieda was a longtime resident of Upper and Lower Chichester and was a graduate of Chichester High School. Frieda was employed by the Scott Paper Company and retired in 2000 from Fibre-Metal after 34 years of service.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and was an avid Phillies fan.

She was the daughter of the late Franklin and the late Justine (Harris) Kates.

SURVIVORS: Her Daughters Leanne Thomas (David) and Ann Marie Ferguson (David); Sisters Barbara Pusey and Alice Steele; Grandchildren Annamaria (Matthew), Brian (Megan), and Crystal (David); and Great grandson Nathan
