Gennaro Iaccarino, 87, passed away on February 7, 2020, surrounded by his family.  He was born, raised, and lived in Monte Di Procida, Italy. Gennaro immigrated to the United States with his family in 1970, making his final home in Aston PA.

He served in the Italian navy, and then worked as a sea mariner on both cargo ships and cruise liners traveling around the world. After immigrating to the United States, Gennaro became a restaurateur, running three family owned pizzerias in the Delaware Valley area.

He enjoyed watching Jerry Springer to get a good laugh and he was an avid professional wrestling fan who would refute anyone believing it was not real. Gennaro was also infamous for his knot-tying and "MacGyver" skills.  He enjoyed traveling back to his hometown in Italy every summer. Being a passionate storyteller, Gennaro would often share his stories of witnessing the effects of World War II in his hometown and the many countries he has visited as a mariner.

Gennaro leaves behind a wife of 60 years, Giuseppina;  his sons, Carmine and Joseph (Melinda) Iaccarino; his daughters, Maria (Carmine) Moriello and Angela (Renato) Spennato; his 11 beloved grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his sisters Carolina and Lucia; his many nieces and nephews; and his pet dog Fudge.

He is now in the kingdom of heaven with his father Giuseppe, mother Carmela, and brother Michele.

Visitation: Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 11:00-12:15 pm at the Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue Aston, PA 19014.
