George A. Johnson, age 85, passed away at his home in Chester on April 29, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Chester and was retired from Southco, Inc. of Concordville. George was an U.S. Army veteran, an avid golfer, and enjoyed walking around the track at Northley Middle School.

He was the husband of the late Dora (Hurt) Johnson.

SURVIVORS: 2 children: Gary Johnson and Linda J. Schwab; 4 grandchildren: Jonathon, Glen, Derrick, and Larry; and 3 great grandchildren.
