George E. "Okie" O'Connor, Sr., age 83, of Media,PA passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Born and raised in Glenolden, he lived most of his life in Delaware County. George graduated from St. James High School. He was employed by Sun Oil Co. for 35 years before his retirement; he started his career as a delivery driver and then served as a Terminal Manager in Port Everglades, FL. and Twin Oaks, PA.

George enjoyed sharing stories of his many life experiences with his family and friends. He was a consummate Irishman known for his great wit, occasional stubbornness, and his devotion to his family and his faith.

He was the son of the late Thomas Francis and Rose Marie (Kaiser) O'Connor, husband of 52 years to the late Joan M. (Sullivan) O'Connor, father of the late Michael O'Connor, and husband of the late Helen Tisdale O'Connor.

SURVIVORS: Loving Children: George E. O'Connor, Jr., Stephen J. O'Connor (Kathleen), Michele O'Donnell (Joseph), Patricia A. Gilloley (Edmund), Timothy J. O'Connor (Maureen), 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sisters: Rosemary Budzilowicz, Priscilla O'Connor, and his sister-in-law and good friend Anne O'Connor.

VISITATION: Thursday from 9:15-10:45am at Nativity B.V.M. Church, Monroe & Franklin Streets, Media, PA. 19063 Funeral Mass: Thursday at 11:00 am at Nativity B.V.M. Church. BURIAL: Ss.
