George Simpson, Sr., of Glen Mills, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2017. A long-time resident of Glen Mills, George was born in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Simpson enjoyed serving his customers at Mary's Café in Clifton Heights which he owned and operated until 1995. George and his loving wife, Nona, were married for 59 years and loved traveling and maintaining the home he built in Glen Mills before moving to Maris Grove.

Survivors: His loving wife Nona Simpson; two children: Pamela Holmes (John) and George Simpson, Jr.; and 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 followed by a service at 11:30 am at Maris Grove Chapel, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA, 19342. Burial will be private.
