Gerri Faith (Ware) Tress, 74 passed away Sunday afternoon, November 14, from complications due to Covid-19. She resided in Boothwyn, Pa for the last 15 years but was formerly a long-time resident of Trainer, Pa.

Born on June 15, 1947, in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Hiram B. and Beatrice (Bennett) Ware. She was a 1965 graduate of Eddystone High School.

Ms. Tress was employed with State Farm Insurance, for 20+ years, working in both the accounting and auto claims departments until her retirement. Previous to that she was a bookkeeper at her sister June's flower shop for many years. She enjoyed getting together with the girls to play cards, cheering on her Philly sports teams and, of course, all her grandkids' hockey games, and spending as much time as she could with family. She also enjoyed getting together with friends for lunch, doing cryptograms, and watching her favorite tv shows like Jeopardy and Survivor. But what she most loved was the Lord. She was a longtime member of the Brandywine Valley Baptist Church and when at home or in the car, she was usually listening to her gospel music. For a few years she was involved with Contact, a suicide prevention helpline.

She was survived by her three children: Marshall Tress, Cynthia (Cheney) Nattress, and Rebecca (Brian) Monahan; and three grandchildren, Sadie Faith, Cheney Robert and Charles Marshall Nattress. Also, she loved her furry grandchildren: Daisy, Rey, Obi and Yoda. She is also survived by her two sisters, Vel and Linda.

She was preceded in death by 11 siblings. Arthur, Laura, Hiram, Richard, June, David, Robert, James, John, Nancy and Paul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Sunday, November 21st from 4:00-5:30pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014, and Gerri's Funeral Service will begin at 5:30pm.
