Obituary

Glenn O. Meeder, Jr., age 73, passed away on May 28, 2024, in Media, PA. Glenn was born in Chester, PA, and raised in Ogden, PA. He was a graduate of Chichester High School, class of 1968. Following his graduation, Glenn went on to serve his nation proudly as a member of the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant before returning home. Glenn was a longtime employee of the United States Post Office, working in the Southeastern Vehicle Maintenance Facility. Glenn had an exceptional love for his family and would carry on a conversation while smiling with anyone, including strangers. He was a jack of all trades, never finding a problem he could not fix. Glenn enjoyed doing farm work, driving tractors, tinkering in his garage, and taking care of horses. He had a deep love for all animals, especially all of his pets through the years. In his free time, Glenn liked to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers, listen to the Rolling Stones, and hunt and fish every chance he had. Glenn was the son of the late Glenn O. Meeder, Sr. and Jeannette Meeder (nee Grueninger), and he was the brother of the late Michael and Kenneth Meeder. Survivors: His beloved wife of 37 years: Donna Meeder. Children: Lisa Meeder (Steve Richardson), Kevin Meeder (Virginia Tamburro), Laurie Meeder-Littell (Miles Littell), Nicole Meeder (Jimmy Watson), Danielle Meeder (Ryan Maxwell), Brian McGowan (Ashley McGowan), and Brandon McGowan (Justin Melnick). Siblings: Donna Meeder Lamonica and Charlene Mazepink (Joseph Mazepink). Grandchildren: Jacob Crawford, Kaitlyn Crawford, Kyle Crawford, whom Glenn referred to as "Little Engineer", Charlotte McGowan, and Dylan McGowan. Glenn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Monday, June 10, 2024 from 11:30am-1:00pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Monday, June 10, 2024 at 1:00pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Private.
