Harriet R. Bratton, age 94, a longtime resident of Sharon Hill, PA, passed away on July 4, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was a graduate of Germantown High School.
Following a brief career with Bell Telephone Harriet would take on the role of mother and homemaker to care for her four children. Harriet was involved with the PTA, and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader to help with her daughter's troop. When her four children were old enough, Harriet rejoined the workforce with UPenn in the Publications Department, a job that she would retire from in 1992. In her free time she enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, needlework, gardening, and watching Jeopardy and other game shows.Harriet was raised Presbyterian, attending several churches through the years. Over the past three years, Harriet resided in Ponte Vedra, FL, with her daughter Sally and Son-in-law Roger.
Harriet was the daughter of the late Karl Wilhelm Rohlin and Marian Weber, sister of the late William Rohlin and Elizabeth R. Brinton, and wife of 60 years to the late Harry M. Bratton, Jr. (2010). Survivors: Children: Harry M. III (Eileen), John H. (Kathy), Sally Laird (Roger Jr.), and Peter D. (Tracey). Grandchildren: Sarah, Hank, Roger III, Christian, Andrew, Daniel, Becky, Lizzy, Abbey, Christie, Nick, and Carly. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA 19014.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 7:30 PM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
Burial: Private
