Harry C. Forrest, 87, former resident of Linwood, Wallingford, and most recently West Chester, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023. A lifelong resident of Delaware County, he was born and raised in Linwood, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Chichester High School in 1955. After honorably serving in the United States Army, he then attended The Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University) in Chester, Pennsylvania and later, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After completing his military service, Harry was employed by the Sun Oil Company in Research and Development in Marcus Hook, PA and at the Sun Oil Building in Philadelphia, PA. After getting married and moving to Wallingford, PA, where he raised his children, he owned and operated a successful construction company which worked on commercial projects in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area for 30 years. Upon retirement, Harry enjoyed spending time at his residences in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, as well as, in St. Michaels, Maryland. He is predeceased by his parents Harry and Alice Forrest, as well as, his two sisters Alice and Margaret. He is survived by his long term friend Eleanor Zentgraf of West Chester, PA and his two sons H. Curtis Forrest, Jr. of Media, PA and Dr. Scott T. Forrest of Arlington, VA, as well as, his two grandsons, James T. Forrest and Jonathan A. Forrest. A private service is planned.
