Harry D. Marrone, age 81 , a longtime resident of Newtown Square, passed away suddenly on October 14, 2015 at home in Malvern. Harry was born and raised on 3 rd Street in Chester. He graduated from Chester High School and LaSalle College.
Harry worked as an accounting executive for many years. He was a longtime member of Chester Jaycees and was an active parishioner for over 40 years at St. Anastasia Church, Newtown Square. He loved cooking, especially making pizza, and enjoyed his Tuesday night poker games. Harry was also an all around handyman, being able to do and fix just about anything.
He was the son of the late Guerino and Ella (Canzana) Marrone and brother of the late Mary, John, Albert, Eleanor, and Eva.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 53 years : Roberta "Bobbi" (Messner) Marrone; children: Paul Marrone (Becky), Jennifer Brown (David), Chris, and Gina Holsopple (Ben); sister: Rose Emper; and grandchildren: Jessica, Paul Jr., Julia, Harrison, Jack, Meredith, Paige, Sophia, Jake, Charlie, Luke, and James.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 9:15-10:15am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA. FUNERAL MASS : Tuesday at 10:30am at the church.
BURIAL: St. Thomas The Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills.
