Heather Lynn Thomas, age 54, passed away peacefully September 15, 2021, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Heather was born in Hampton, Virginia, however she was raised in a military family. This led her to live in other beautiful places such as, Illinois and Great Britain eventually residing in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. Heather went to Christopher Newport University, an annex of William and Mary College. Heather then became a Marine Biologist at the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences. She once saved the institute's shark population. Heather was a woman of many interests including history, philosophy and biology. Heather also loved to get a little adrenaline going by watching horror movies. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The one thing that would always bring a smile to Heather's face was listening to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Heather was intrigued by many faiths, but practiced Christianity and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Heather was the daughter of the late George and Anne Thomas, sister to Margaret Hatcher and caring mother to her son Stuart Murdock.
