Helen F. Akers, 63 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Lewes, DE.  Helen was born and raised in Chester, PA where she graduated from Chester High School.  She worked for over 20 years for Mars Electronics as a solderer, making printed circuit boards for everything from vending machines to the U.S. Military.  Helen enjoyed gardening, playing billiards, softball, and adored and loved animals.

Helen was the daughter of the late Orby and Ruth Akers of Withville, VA, and daughter-in-law to the late Charles Bennish, Sr..

SURVIVORS: Her wife and partner, together for 44 years, Joyce A. Bennish; animal children: Alli, Donatello, and Raphael; mother-in-law: Theresa Bennish; siblings-in-law: Chuck Bennish, Jr., Susan (Rodney) Rollman, and Terry (Jim) Elliott; nieces and nephews: Chuck III, Jenn, Justin, Christy, and Angelina; and 7 2/3 great nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 6:00-7:45 pm, at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue Aston, PA 19014. FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday June 6, 2018, at 8:00 pm, at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home.

As per Helen's wishes, everyone is invited to attend the visitation and funeral service wearing casual clothing.
