Helen "Peggy" Rhoads (nee Savage), age 91, passed away on July 28, 2021. Helen was a resident of Parkside, PA since 1963 when she moved there from Chester, PA with her late husband Walter Rhoads.  She was employed by Bell Telephone and Crozer Hospital as a Telephone Operator, and she also worked for Pathmark as a cashier.

Helen was a volunteer with Crozer Hospital and the Auxiliary at Crozer. She was a member of the Brookhaven AARP, the Upland Baptist Church, and the Women's Union at the Upland Baptist Church.  Earlier in her life, Helen enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Her hobbies included: reading Amish books, doing crafts, knitting, crocheting, doing fill-in books and playing solitaire.

She was the daughter of the late Frank A. and the late Helen Margaret (McGinnis) Savage, the wife of the late Walter Rhoads, and the sister of the late Shirley Soscia.

Survivors: her children: Frank (Sheri), Walter L. Jr., (Donna), Russell (Linda), Dwayne (Kelly), Helen, and Cheryl; her grandchildren:  Kelly (Brian), Tara (Pat), Tiffany, Russell II, and Dwayne Jr., "DJ"; her 6 great grandchildren: Logan, Patrick, Alexandria, Sarah, Nehemiah, and Brynn, and her beloved pet "Teddy Bear".

Visitation: Friday, August 6,2021 from 10-10:45am at the Upland Baptist Church 325 Main St., Upland, PA 19015 Funeral Service: Friday, August 6,2021 at 11:00am at Upland Baptist Church.
