Obituary

James E. "Jim" DeVita, age 67, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was raised and educated in Philadelphia and Springfield and resided in Boothwyn for the last 25 years. He owned and operated James DeVita and Son Furniture in Drexel Hill for 40 years with his late father, James.

Jim was an active parishioner of St. John Fisher Church, playing Santa at Christmas and participating on the financial committee. He was an avid gardener and golfer and especially enjoyed his membership at Rolling Green Golf Club.

He was the son of the late James DeVita.

SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 25 years: Julianne (Warsavage) DeVita; his mother: Verna (Pennisi) DeVita; his children: Brian Sobel and Karen Sobel; his siblings: Arianne Springer (John) and Gerard DeVita (Marie); loving in-laws: Vincent Warsavage (Sandy), Mary Molettiere (Thomas), and Rita Warsavage; grandchildren: Talia and Kinley; many loving nieces and nephews.

VISITATION: Saturday from 9:00-10:15am at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA. Funeral Mass: Saturday at 10:30 am at St. John Fisher Church BURIAL: Private.
