Mr. James L. McKelvey, age 98, passed away on March 24, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Boswell, Pennsylvania, located in Somerset County, and had most recently been residing in Chester, Pennsylvania. James had a fulfilling career as a truck driver for Texaco and was able to retire from the company. He served his country proudly during World War II as a member of the United States Navy. James was a dedicated member of both the Marcus Hook Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Aston. His favorite pastimes included riding his motorcycle, listening to music, watching old movies, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family. He is the son of the late John and Estella (Bowden) McKelvey and husband to the love of his life, the late Dorothy L. McKelvey.
