James E. Miller, Jr., age 101, a longtime resident of Chester Heights, PA, passed away on May 10, 2025 in Glen Riddle, PA. Jim was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, growing up on Cornwall street and always remaining proud of his roots. Jim served selflessly in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946 working as a machinist and earning the rank of Technician Third Grade prior to his honorable discharge. He went on to work for 3M as a Mechanical Engineer. For over 40 years, Jim worked tirelessly to serve the Chester Heights Borough where he resided. Throughout the years he assisted in various capacities including the Zoning Board and Planning Commission. He also generously preserved almost 30 acres of property within the borough.
Jim was the son of the late James E. Miller Sr. and Helen C. Miller (nee O'Donnell), brother of the late Anna May Lavender and Helen Satterthwaite, and husband of the late Mary Miller (nee Carson).
Jim is survived by his devoted nephew Gerald Lavender and his loving neighbor Melinda Kerry.
Funeral Service and Burial will be held privately at Green Mount Cemetery in West Chester, PA.
