James Schiller, age 64, a resident of Media, PA, passed away on August 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised in Lansdowne, PA, where he was a 1978 graduate of Lansdowne-Aldan High School.
He graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. Jim spent many years working in the Physical Therapy industry for Sports Physical Therapist, Novacare, and Dynamic Physical Therapy. In 2018, Jim co-founded a Physical Therapy company, 'Move for Life'.
He was an avid sports fan and rooted for all of the Philadelphia sports teams. Jim grew up in the restaurant industry and developed a passion for cooking and grilling. In his younger years, Jim worked summers as a lifeguard. Above all else, Jim was a hardworking, family man.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maryrae Schiller, and his son, Derek Schiller.
Survivors: his loving wife of 41 years, Denise Schiller; son, Dalton (Michelle); siblings, Jay Schiller (Barbara) and Jeff Schiller (Essie); grandchildren, Juliana, Mackson, and Teegan; Daughter-in-law: Cristen Ruttenberg.
Visitation: Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5-7pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA.
Visitation: Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 9:15am-10:45am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd. Glen Mills, PA 19342.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, August 17 at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
Burial: Saturday, August 17, at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery immediately following Mass.
