James M. "Pop Pop"Thomas, III, age 81, died peacefully March 25, 2015 at home in Aston surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Upland and was raised in Delaware County. He graduated from Lansdowne High School and attended St. Joseph's University. James served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lenni and was a retired accountant for the Consolidated Rail Corp. (ConRail) in Philadelphia.
James was the husband of the late Concetta C. (Bevilacqua) Thomas; son of the late James M., Jr. & the late Elizabeth (McGinn) Thomas.
SURVIVORS: Children: James Thomas, IV (Gwen), John Thomas (Peggy), Concetta Campanile (Mike) and Mary Rosato (Guy). Grandchidren: Edward, Christopher, Jessica, Mindy, James, V, Nicholas, Brian, Patrick, Jennifer, Victoria, David, Julia, Mike, Chris, Nick & Tom; Great Grandchildren: Chloe, Lilly, Lorelei, Lilah and Adelina.
VISITATION: Monday from 8:30-10:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA.
MASS: Monday at 11:00 am at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 33 New Road, Lenni.
BURIAL: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
