November 26, 1938 – May 14, 2020
James "Jim" Walden White, Sr., a resident of West Chester, PA, age 81, passed away on May 14, 2020. Raised in Syracuse, NY, Jim went on to graduate from Red Creek High School and Pennsylvania Military College. Jim retired from the United States Army after 27 and a half years of service and earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Jim's passions included hunting, fishing, refinishing fly rods, and making decoys. A man of strong faith, Jim was a parishioner of St. Cornelius Church in Chadds Ford, PA. Jim loved his family very much, and enjoyed spending time with them every chance he could. He will be missed fondly, and all of the memories shared by family and friends will be cherished dearly.
He was the son of the late Carl and Mary White.
Survivors: His Beloved Wife: Vittoria "Vicki" White. Children: Cynthia White Brown (Bill), Elaine White Krauss (Bob), Karen White Carpenter (John), and James W. White, Jr. (Tracy). Brother: William R. White (Patricia). Grandchildren: Billy, Brandon, Brett, Jacob, Alexander, John, Michael, Nicholas, Brianna, Justin and Matthew. Great Grandchildren: John, Sarah, Colton, Dylan, Rori, Zachary, and Nolan.
Funeral Mass: A private funeral mass will be held at St. Cornelius Church in Chadds Ford. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in Jim's memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org or to the Shriners Hospital for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
