Obituary

Jane Marie Werndl (née Mohr) died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sept 30, 2021. She was 76 years old. Born in Southwest Philadelphia, she grew up as 1 of 11 children in the St. Barnabas parish, and was a graduate of West Catholic School for Girls. Once she started her own family they moved to Collingdale, Pa, and eventually settled in Media, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her parents John and Agnes (née Koch), her sisters Julia Jeffers, Carol Crossley, and her brothers in law Thomas Jeffers and John Gray.

Jane was an avid card player, she loved a good book, and liked to spend time at her Florida home when possible. She cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren and always enjoyed a nice day relaxing in her pool. The local stores will surely miss her almost as much as her family because shopping was her most favorite activity. Some may also remember her for her passionate/stubborn spirit while baking her holiday treats, or simply how welcome she made you feel while in her home. She was one of a kind.

Jane, Mommy, Gram, Grandmom, Aunt Jane, or Janie, as she was called, was loved by many, and will remain in the hearts of those who knew her for years to come. During her last days she was able to tell her children, grandchildren, siblings, family, and friends how much she loved them. A true gift for her as well as her loved ones. She left this earth with peace and love surrounded by her most cherished treasure, her family.
