Janet Marie (Baltzell) Austin passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in Aston, PA surrounded by her family.
She was born in Philadelphia and was the youngest of five. Janet graduated in 1966 from West Catholic High. She resided in Aston, PA for 26 years and moved to the Groves in Land O' Lakes, Florida in 1999. Janet was co-owner of Austin Electronics and will be greatly missed by their customers. Janet's laughter, smile, and playful personality will be forever remembered. Janet was known in The Groves for her caring hugs and fun loving ways. Janet enjoyed shopping with the "Wednesday Girls" and time with her Bingo and Bunco friends. During her final days, Janet was reminded by many that she was the BEST wife, mom, sister, cousin, aunt and friend anyone could ever ask for.
She is survived by her devoted husband Jerry Austin, two beloved daughters, Lynda Austin of Aston, PA and Denise Paddock (Tony) of Zephryhills, FL, two sisters, Edna Robinson and Loretta Whalen, brother Joseph Baltzell, and in-laws, Mickey Baltzell, Helene Evans, Robert Austin (Susan), Martrese Young (John), Janice Hansen, as well as 29 nieces and nephews and many cousins. Janet was also blessed with the Digalbo family, especially "her Connie" and cousin Anthony and her amazing "Golden Girls" of 50 years.
Janet is preceded in passing by her parents Samuel and Marie "Granny" Baltzell, brother Harry Baltzell, and brother in-laws, Jack Austin, Ken Hansen, and Si Robinson. Also by her cherished dogs, Duke 1, Duke 2, and Duke 3.
Janet always and forever will be the love of Jerry's life. Janet was not only a mom who gave unconditional love to both Lynda and Denise, she was their best friend. To all who ever knew Janet, she is Our Forever Angel!
Visitation: Tuesday, April 11, 4pm-5:30pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Memorial Service: Tuesday at 5:30pm at the funeral home. Internment: Private. In Lieu of Flowers: Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at Stjude.org.
