It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Wichouski, age 61, who passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at his home in Swarthmore surrounded by his loving family. A beloved husband, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, Jesse's warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born, raised, and educated in Ridley Township, Jesse was a lifelong resident of Delaware County. Jesse grew up in Ridley Park and proudly graduated from Ridley High School in 1983. Over the past 31 years, he made Swarthmore his home, where he cultivated a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and a close-knit family. Jesse dedicated more than 20 years to his career at Xfinity as a cable construction coordinator, a role that highlighted his commitment to his community. However, it was his abiding passion for music that truly defined him. From the tender age of five, Jesse's love for drumming blossomed into a lifelong pursuit. He shared his musical talents as a devoted member of the band "Season of Mourning" for 30 years, creating cherished memories alongside friends and fellow musicians. His enthusiasm for life extended beyond music; he was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, metal detecting, astronomy and making lasting connections with people along the way. Family vacations were a cherished tradition for Jesse, particularly trips to Key West, Florida, and Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, where he created unforgettable moments surrounded by his loved ones.
Jesse is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Harris Wichouski; his sister, Lisa Bilyj (Zenon); his cherished niece, Cathy Harris (Anthony Gallagher); nephews, Michael Harris (Jenna) and Andrew Leicht (Amber); brothers-in-law, Bill Harris (Tracy) and Dave Harris (Teresa); father-in-law, Fred Harris; great-nephew, Zane; along with another niece, two nephews, numerous cousins, and friends.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, located at 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014. Following the visitation, a memorial service will commence at 1:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
As we celebrate Jesse's life, we remember his kind heart, his zest for life, and the countless moments of joy he brought to all of us. His legacy will forever live on in the memories we hold dear.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Jesse's name may be made to Let There Be Rock School in Folsom, PA at www.delcorockschool.com or Providence Animal Center in Media, PA at www.providenceac.org, both of which hold special significance to him.
