Joan E. Brim, age 88, passed away on September 27, 2025. Born in Holmes, PA, Joan was a graduate of Ridley High School. She lived in Boothwyn for over 45 years, where she raised her family, before most recently residing in Aston. A devoted homemaker and avid sports fan, she centered her life on caring for her family and home. Joan was a member of The Bridge Church in Marcus Hook and of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is the daughter of the late Fredrick H. and Elizabeth (née Evers) Filbert, and step-daughter of the late Norman Baxter Cake. She was the wife of over 61 years of the late Sydney George Brim, mother of the late Helen Guasperini, mother in law of the late Robert Houston and sister of the late Harry Norman Cake and Judith Anne Gould. Survivors: Her children, William Brim (Denise), George Brim (Kim), and Susan Houston; her son in law, Tony Guasperini; her grandchildren, Jason Stephenson, Shannon Teaford (Ryan), William Brim (Elizabeth), Tyler Brim (Brianna), Ryan Brim (Lindsay), Kyle Brim (Ryan), Wyatt Houston, and Kelsey Stefanide (Kyle); and her great-grandchildren, Ryan Teaford, Emily Brim, Jacob Brim, Caleb Brim, Nicholas Morrison Jr., Sydney Brim, Spencer Brim, Remy Brim, Colby Brim and Brian Stefanide II, KJ Stefanide, and Damon Stefanide. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
