Joan Marie Nolan, 71, a longtime resident of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Kindred Hospital Philadelphia-Havertown. Joan was born and raised in Chester, PA, before moving with her family to Linwood, PA. She went on to graduate from Chichester High School, class of 1972. She served as a court computer supervisor at the Delaware County Court House. After retiring from the court house, she decided to apply her knowledge to a new position in Computer technology at Aston Elementary School, where she developed a variety of new friendships. These relationships were maintained with monthly lunch gatherings and outings, something she cherished. Outside of work she enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and trips to North Wildwood New Jersey. Despite a variety of health challenges she remained resilient and positive, choosing to focus on the best of what life has to offer. Joan was the daughter of the late Louis and Ann Gaspero. Additionally, she is preceded in death by one brother: Guilio Gaspero (2020) and one sister-in-law: Paula Gaspero. Survivors: Her beloved husband of 38 years: David Nolan, siblings: Ann (Jim) McGrath, Louis Gaspero, James (Joni) Gaspero, John (Sophia) Gaspero, Michael Gaspero, and Lisa (Clint) Warsing, and sister-in-law, Donna Gaspero. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her longtime friend, Denise Haines.
