Joan E. McVean (nee Cascaden), age 84, passed away on March 2, 2018 at her home at Maris Grove with her children by her side. Joan was born in South Philadelphia and was a long time resident of Springfield, PA till she moved with her husband to Glen Mills in 2007. Joan retired from General Electric after 30 years of service. Joan enjoyed going to the movies, Broadway shows, and concerts. Joan loved the beach and vacationed with her family in Wildwood, NJ.

Joan was the wife of the late William McVean, daughter of the late William and Emma (Tagtmeier) Cascaden, and the sister of the late Emily Warner and Bill Cascaden.

SURVIVORS: her children: Linnie Martin (Jim), Dee Kanz (Pete), and Bill McVean; her step-daughter: Kathy Dobson (Dennis); 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

VISITATION: Friday from 10:00-11:15 am at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday at 11:30 am at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home. ENTOMBMENT: Edgewood Memorial Park.
