Joann Louise Chedeville, (NEE Smith), age 78, died peacefully Monday, November 26, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Joann was raised and educated in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia.  She attended St. Callistus Parochial School and West Catholic School for Girls (1958) in Philadelphia. In her forties she returned to college full time to pursue her career as a nurse. In 1986 she graduated from Neumann University, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. After graduating, Joann worked as a nurse at several places before retiring in 2001 from the Sisters of St. Francis Assisi House in Aston after 10 years of service. Joann has lived in Aston for the past 55 years. She was a devoted wife and mother who was involved with the PTA and her children's lives. She enjoyed traveling, camping and was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church and the Aston Historical Society. Joann's grandchildren were very special to her and she enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Joann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Groller Smith and the sister to the late Joseph J. Smith and Sandra Crane.

Joann is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years Edmond Chedeville; her children Renee Pietropolo (Nick), Joseph Chedeville (Diane), Annette Coats (Heath), and Lorraine Chedeville (Michelle); and her grandchildren whom she adored Brittany, Nicholas, Rachael, Kyle, Alicia, Lauren, Alyssa, and Erin.

VISITATION: Tuesday from 10-11:15am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston.

FUNERAL LITERGY: 11:30am Tuesday at the funeral home.

BURIAL: St. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
