John R. Adams, age 79, passed away on February 1, 2025 with his family by his side. John was born and raised in Highland Gardens in Chester and was a graduate of Chester High School. John worked as an engineer for Westlake Plastics for 25 years. Everyone who knew John knew of his love for the Phillies. He was a fan since 1947, and would watch all 180 games of every season. He often made the trip to Clearwater for Spring Training and made many friends during his travels to different stadiums. John also followed the Eagles, and was proud to hear of their recent win that brought them to the Superbowl LIX in New Orleans. He enjoyed playing pinochle and shooting pool. He played in a pool league for over 20 years. One of John's favorite pastimes was tending to his garden. He grew everything from tomatoes to peppers, cucumbers and strawberries. Survivors: His beloved wife of 42 years, Fran Marsero Adams; children, Amber (Nick), Andrew, Robbie, Gary, Anne (Bobby), Susan (Mike). John is also survived by many beloved grandchildren.
