February 24, 1948 – September 6, 2025
John Robert Brong, 77, of Aston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Naaman's Creek Country Manor Nursing Center. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, he was a 1966 graduate of Penncrest High School. John went on to further his education at Widener University and honorably served our nation in the United States Navy, during which time he met his beloved wife Stephanie M. (Kelly) Brong. He was most recently employed as security in Philadelphia, working on a variety of high-profile events at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. He maintained a quiet disposition and enjoyed the solitude of his home and traveling the world with his wife. He was dedicated sports fan, enjoyed good music, and above all cherished time spent with his beloved children and family. He was also an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast who rarely missed the daily challenge of carefully filling in words with his trusted pen!
He is preceded in death by his parents: William E. Brong and Elizabeth Underwood Brong, his son: David Brong (2022, and lastly by his brother: Jeff Brong.
Survivors: His beloved wife of 55 years, Stephanie M. (Kelly) Brong, two children: Mark Brong (Shannon) and Sharon Brong (David), and grandchildren, Alyssa, Hannah, Karleigh, Jack, and Ashleigh.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
