February 17, 1944 – November 9, 2017
John "Roy" Royden Burrell, age 73, passed away November 9, 2017 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born and raised in Chester, PA, where he attended St. James High School. John has resided in Aston for the past 45 years. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. John was a manager with the Esschem Co., where he retired from after 30 years. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 926. John was president, and a coach, of the Aston Valley Baseball League. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. John was an avid Phillies fan.
He was the son of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Lynam) Burrell and brother of the late Norman C. Burrell.
SURVIVORS: loving wife of 50 years: Beatrice M. (Cubler) Burrell; children: Kerrie (Chris), John Jr. (Michele), David (Joanne), and Adrienne (Rich) Burrell; siblings: Dorothy (Jack) Houpt and Anna Mae Stanolis; also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday at 12:00 pm at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home.
