John DiCecco Jr., age 80, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2023 at Christiana Hospital. Born and raised in Boothwyn, PA, John was a 1960 graduate of Chichester High School. He proudly served four years in the US Navy, being stationed in RI with tours that included Antarctica and Papua New Guinea. He was a longtime Linwood resident before moving to Wilmington, DE eight years ago. John worked for Valeant Pharmaceuticals and after retirement he worked for Wawa. John loved camping, his Lionel trains, reading, watching war documentaries, M.A.S.H., and more than anything, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. John was predeceased by his parents John & Mary DiSciullo DiCecco, his sister Jeanne DiCecco Rue, his brothers Ralph and Anthony DiCecco. He is survived by his children Kimberly Williamson (Ken) and John DiCecco III (Maura), his sister Dolores Hearn (Joe), and his cherished grandchildren Jacqueline Umstead (Justin), Sophia DiCecco, Gabriella DiCecco, Julia DiCecco, and great granddaughter Claire Nicole Umstead. VISITATION: Saturday January 21, 2023 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home,5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA EULOGIES: Will follow at the funeral home at 12:00pm BURIAL: Private
