John P. Donovan 'Jack', age 87, a resident of Boothwyn passed away on May 8, 2024. Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in West Philadelphia. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School. In his early 20s Jack moved out to Collingdale, PA and spent the next few decades there as he raised his family. He was a computer operator for many years and worked for Sun Oil for over 10 years before eventually retiring in the 1990's. He served his country for 8 years in the Marines Corps Reserve with his brother in Marine Fight Squad out of Willow Grove, PA. Jack was also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 4 of Delco, PA Black Jack Kehoe Division and was a former parishioner of St. Josephs of Collingdale. In his spare time he enjoyed learning about his genealogy, listening to Irish and folk music, and helping family and friends with any computer questions. Most of all Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially down the shore in North Wildwood, NJ. He is the son of the late Patrick E. Donovan and Margaret Bell (MacGregor) Graham, step-son to the late James R. Graham and husband of almost 53 years to the late Margaret Ann (Finnegan) Donovan (2019).
