John Ellis, 70, of Brookhaven passed away peacefully at Jeanes Hospital on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born in Affaltrach, Germany and raised in Upland, Pennsylvania. He was an area resident for most of his life and attended Collingdale High School.

John was retired from the Philadelphia Regional Produce Market after working 30+ years as a Produce Selector and was a part of the Teamsters Local 929. He was an extremely hard worker and old-fashioned in his approach to life, but he had a deep love for those closest to him. Outside of work he enjoyed listening to music and played several instruments and was also fluent in multiple languages. He also enjoyed traveling and experiencing other cultures with his wife.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Charity Church in Brookhaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents: John Joseph Ellis and Hedwig (Piensel) Ellis.

Survivors: His beloved wife of 34 years Maria "Bea" Ellis, two children: Jonathan Ellis and Ryan Ellis, two siblings: Ernie Ellis (Brenda) and Tom Ellis (Jeannette), and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, 19015.

Mass: Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, 19015.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
