John J. Emmi, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at Christiana Hospital. Born and raised in Chester, John was a graduate of Chester High School and Pennsylvania Military College. He served his nation proudly as a member of the United States Army National Guard. Following his honorable discharge from the service, John went to work at Sun Ship. John would soon pivot and go into business with his wife and family, owning and operating various businesses over the years in financial services and food service. In his free time, John enjoyed spending time with his family, painting, and watching Westerns. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and he attended the Bridge Church with his wife, Joan, prior to her passing in 2022.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Alfonsia Emmi, his siblings, Josephine, Carmella, Ann, Anthony, and Sam, and his beloved wife of 63 years, Joan Emmi.
Survivors: His Children: Lee Emmi-Moore (Michael) and John S. Emmi. Grandchildren: Alexander, Connor, Alec, and Samantha. Sister-in-law: Elizabeth Emmi. His special nephew: Sam Emmi, and many more nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 9:00am-10:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:30am. Entombment: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
