Obituary

John Green, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2025, at the age of 85. John was a lifelong resident of Delaware County, cherished for his kind spirit and unwavering devotion to his family and community. John was a proud graduate of Chester High School, class of 1958. He began his professional journey at the Sun Ship Building and Drydock Company and dedicated the last 30 years of his career to The Container Research Corporation in Lenni, where he served as a skilled welder and maintenance supervisor. His work ethic and dedication left a lasting impact on his colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A resident of Chester Heights, he was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Glen Mills, where he found solace and community. John enjoyed drawing, painting, fishing, and working in his yard, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. His adventurous spirit led him and his wife, Barbara, to travel extensively, with memorable cruises to Hawaii and Alaska among their highlights. John is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Green, who stood by his side through life's journey. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his warmth, humor, and generosity.
