John W. Johnsen, age 85, passed away on February 11, 2017 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cleveland and moved to Arizona where he graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1950. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Hornet. He met and married Irene, his wife of 53 years, and they settled in Chester and raised their family there. He worked for Pepsi Co. for more than 30 years before retiring from there. In 2000, John moved to Somers Point, NJ where he worked for Academy Bus Co. John enjoyed fishing, spending time and traveling with his family, and coin collecting.

He was the son of the late Everett and Marie (Armstrong) Johnsen, husband of the late Irene (McClitis) Johnsen, and brother of the late George and Robert Johnsen.

SURVIVORS: his 3 children: Jeff, John A., and Jean (Viraj); 4 grandchildren: Jessica (Steve), Nicole, Eric, and David.

VISITATION: Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014.
