John P. Koliba, age 63, a resident of Upland passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2017. John was a graduate of St. James Boys High School in Chester and resided in Brookhaven before moving to Upland. He was an avid reader who enjoyed World War II and horror based novels. John loved drag racing and lacrosse, and was a Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan.

He was the son of the late John and Margaret (Yurko) Koliba.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Alison N. Koliba,  sister, Margaret M. Paschall,  former spouse, Melissa Palmer, a niece, Theresa Paschall, 2 nephews: Scott and Eric Paschall, great nephew and nieces: Iyannah Dickerson, Eric Paschall Jr., and Malany Carrion.

VISITATION: Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014 and Wednesday from 9 - 9:45 am at St. Joseph's Church, 604 North Laurel Street, Hazleton, PA 18201. Funeral Mass: Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 604 North Laurel Street, Hazleton. BURIAL: St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hazelton.
