John A. "Zap" Sakowski, age 87, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on December 16, 2018. He was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia, PA. John was a longtime resident of Delaware County, most recently residing in Boothwyn. Zap was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. John retired from Boeing, Inc. after more than 40 years with the company. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

John was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Sakowski.

SURVIVORS: his loving wife of 62 years: Marion (Stires) Sakowski; children: Denise Landolph (Don), John A. Sakowski, and Theresa Preziuso (late Damon); and grandchildren: Nicole DeSantis (Jeff), Danielle Preziuso, Jake Sakowski, and Leah Kargman.

Visitation: Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 11:00 am-12:45 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. Military Service: Sunday at 1:00 pm at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or the National Brain Tumor Society at www.braintumor.org.
