Joseph Kerr, age 63, died peacefully on January 30, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Joseph was raised in Springfield and graduated from Archmere Academy in 1972 and went on to attend St. Joseph's University. After meeting his wife Lisa they moved to Upper Chichester where he has since lived.
He was an avid Eagles fan and season ticket holder who always enjoyed taking his sons to the game. Joe coached, attended and traveled to his son's baseball games and sporting events, never missing a game. He was an animal lover who loved horses and feeding the birds. Most of all Joe was family man who loved being a father.
Joe was retired from ACME markets and worked at many stores throughout his 42 years of service, lastly as Produce Manager in the Media store. Joseph was a member of St. John Fisher's Church.
He was the son of the late Vincent P. and Margaret Cunningham Kerr.
SURVIVORS: His loving wife of 20 years Lisa Orner Carey-Kerr; his beloved children: Michael Carey (Amy), Matthew Carey, and Patrick Kerr. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
VISITATION: Saturday from 8 to 9:45 AM at Nolan Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston. FUNERAL MASS: Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. John Fisher's Church, 4225 Chichester Ave, Upper Chichester, PA 19061. BURIAL: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
