Obituary

Joseph C. Perry, Sr., of Middletown Media, Pa. died peacefully on May 23, 2024. Joseph was born in Chester, PA on June 20, 1936 to Vincent Joseph Perry and Evelyn Perry, who were a very religious Roman Catholic family, both were born and raised on the island of Malta on the Mediterranean Sea. Joe was a lifelong resident of Middletown, PA. He started working, at the young age of nine years old in a local butcher shop, for many years, until he graduated from Chester High School. Joe was in the National Guard for fourteen years as a Staff Sergeant main cook, he also was a member of the Knights of Columbus, as a fourth degree knight. Joe became a general contractor, specializing in fire damage, estimating and full restoration of family residences and business properties for over thirty nine years for numerous insurance companies. Joe loved his job at helping people, in their time of need, on their fire loss. Joe graduated from Chester High School in 1955, where he met the Love of his Life, Jean Marie Breese in ninth grade. Jean became his wife in 1956, a year after they graduated. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Jean Marie; his son, Joseph C. Perry, Jr.; his brother, Vincent L. Perry; and his sisters, Charlotte Crouse and Marie DiVinci. He is survived by three loving daughters: Debi Jean Perry, Donna Jo Perry and Lari Marie Perry, and seven grandchildren: Joseph, Josh, Danielle, Jean Marie, Brandon, John and Angela and five great-grandchildren: RJ, Vienna, Josephine, William, and Isabella. Visitation: Friday May 31, 2024 from 8:00am-11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014 Funeral Mass: 12:30pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd.
