Joseph John Wurm, Jr. 84, of Glen Mills passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Chestnut Ridge on Monday, February 17, 2025. Born in Darby, Pennsylvania, he was raised in Ridley Township and was a 1959 graduate of Ridley High School. He retired from Sun Oil Company where he worked as a machinist and was a resident of Glen Mills, Concord Twp., PA since 1981.He was a devoted parishioner of St. Cornelius Church in Chadds Ford, PA. In his free time Joe enjoyed classic cars, walking around the Concord Mall, and attending Ridley High School football games. Most of all he cherished the time spent with his beloved family and friends. Joe is the son of the late Joseph J. Wurm, Sr. and Eileen C. (Dagge) Wurm. Additionally, he is preceded in death by three siblings: Eileen Burnett, Nancy Houser, and David Wurm. Survivors: His beloved wife Barbara (Constantine)Wurm with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, one devoted daughter: Sandra Marie Wurm, niece: Barbara Gray and host of great nieces and nephews. Visitation: Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Mass: Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
