Josephine "Jo" (Desmond) Jones, age 88, a resident of Aston passed away December 16, 2018 with her family by her side. Jo was a longtime resident of Chester where she was a graduate of Chester High School in 1948. Jo worked as an x-ray technician at Chester Hospital and then worked for Crozer Chester Medical Center for more than 43 years in radiology where she retired in 1993 as a supervisor. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Aston. She enjoyed painting and doing puzzles. Jo was an avid Eagles, Phillies, and Nittany Lion fan. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her great grandchildren.

Jo was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Mildred (Voshell) Desmond, wife of the late David J. "Whitey" Jones, and sister of the late Margaret Boyd and Jane Deakyne.

SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Jackie Ziegler (Ted) and Jo Ann Taboada (Jorge); grandchildren: Renee Beverly (Leon), Amanda Lodge (Sean), and Caitlyn Howe (Andrew); and 2 great grandchildren: Caden and Faith Lodge.

VISITATION: Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 10-11:00 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Thursday at 11:20 am at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
