Josephine "Jan" Scuderi Duffy died on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Friends Village in Woodstown, NJ at age 92. Jan was born in 1925, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Scuderi. She grew up in South Philadelphia, and was a graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls and Taylor Business School in Philadelphia. Jan worked for the U.S. Navy as an administrative assistant in Madrid, Spain in the late 1950's. She married the love of her life, Joe Duffy, in Gibraltar in 1959. When they returned to the US, they raised their daughter Lisa in Broomall, PA. Jan worked in banking at the Philadelphia National Bank. Our Aunt Jan was very well loved by all of her extended family. She had a full and happy life with her husband Joe until he died in 1992. After moving to Fox Hill Farms in Glen Mills, PA, she was an active volunteer at their library. She traveled the world with her sister Dianne, and was full of stories and advice that her many nieces, nephews, and grandnieces/nephews loved to hear. Our Aunt Jan will be dearly missed by all.

She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Peter and Loretta Scuderi. She was the mother of the late Joseph Duffy.

Jan is survived by her daughter Lisa Duffy Rowe (Scott) of Fort Worth, TX, siblings Dianne Lordi (Tony) and Rosalie Cooper (Jim), and her life-long friend Clare Di Christoforo. Her nieces and nephews: Joseph Scuderi (Gail), Peter Scuderi, Barbara Lordi (Scott Dyer), Susan Lordi (Dennis Marker), Karen Lordi (Clay Percy), David Lordi, Jim Wood (Julie), and Steven Wood (Karen). Grandnieces and Grandnephews : Anna Livia Scuderi Hurka (Jasen), Nicholas Scuderi, Madeline Scuderi, Peter Scuderi, Laura Scuderi, Sara Lordi Marker (Guillaume Biennier), David Marker, Michael Lordi Neuner, Catherine Lordi Neuner, Diana Percy, Julia Percy, Katherine Wood, and Jake Wood. We would like to express our deep appreciation to Gail Scuderi for the love, support, and help she gave to Aunt Jan in her final years.

Visitation: Saturday from 9:15 am - 10:15 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA. Eulogies: Saturday at 10:20 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Funeral Mass: Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
