Joyce A. Aurite (née LaMotta), 65, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2025. A lifelong Pennsylvanian, Joyce was raised in Glenolden and graduated from Interboro High School before earning her degree in accounting from Goldey-Beacom College. She went on to build a long, successful career as a Systems Analyst for Siemens.

Joyce raised her family in Aston and later moved to Oxford in the late 1990s, creating a home that became the heart of countless family celebrations. Hosting holidays was her love language-filled with laughter, music, dancing, and unforgettable meals she prepared with joy and generosity. She gave selflessly, always putting family first, and her warmth welcomed everyone. She embraced life with boundless enthusiasm-whether tending her garden, cooking, dancing, or making memories with her grandsons on family adventures to waterparks, beaches, cruises, and the open plains of Montana. She found pure happiness in the presence of loved ones.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Tony and Donna (née Hann) LaMotta and the devoted mother of the late Michael Aurite (2017).

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard A. Aurite Jr.; her loving son, Richard A. Aurite; her treasured grandsons, Leo Keesey and Andrew Aurite; her siblings, Toni LaMotta (Andy), John LaMotta, Tina Smith (Surena), David LaMotta, and Janet Clendaniel (Harold); and many loving nieces and nephews.

Joyce's unwavering love and joyful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
