Juanita K. Ammerman, age 79, passed away peacefully with courage and grace on July 23, 2015 after a short illness. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and her constant love and support will be missed dearly. Born in Chester she was raised in Brookhaven and lived in Wallingford for more than 40 years. Most recently she lived in Glen Mills. She was a 1951 graduate of Nether Providence High School and a 1953 Graduate of Goldey-Beacom College.
She was employed by Brandywine Raceway as an office manager and for the past 20 years was the administrative assistant to the President of White Horse Village before retiring in 2010.
Juanita was an avid walker; she would walk 2 miles every day. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and playing golf, a game she started late in life. She was the past president of the Jayceettes, and also owned a racehorse named "Idle Love". Juanita was a member of Gateway Community Church in Middletown. Juanita's family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years the "Love of her Life" William Garr Ammerman. She was the daughter of the late John Joseph and Juanita M. (Norris) Ketrick and sister of the late Jack Ketrick (2013).
SURVIVORS: Her loving children Keith Ammerman (Chryiese), Jill Fox (Chris), and John Ammerman (Kim). Grandchildren David, Billy, Ryan, Justin, Riley, Kendall, and Brynn. Sister in law Joyce Ketrick as well as several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday from 9:00-10:45am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston
Funeral Service: Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
BURIAL: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
