Juanita Diane Lavella (nee Boyles), age 88, a longtime resident of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2016 at Sunrise of Granite Run. She was born on October 14, 1927 in Lutesville, Missouri to Walter and Ruby Boyles. Diane was a devout Catholic with a strong faith in God. She served as a Eucharist Minister for St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Chester, where she was a longtime parishioner, and most recently was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, also in Chester. She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Society and the St. Gabriel Society, and served as the president of the Praesidium of the Legion of Mary at St. Anthony Parish. Diane was a dedicated wife and mother, who spent most of her life selflessly caring for others, most recently her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were so blessed to have shared such a wonderful relationship with their Nanny.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Guido Lavella, as well as her sister Evelyn Cuccinotta, brothers Donald and Ernest Boyles, and son-in-law Robert Vadino.
SURVIVORS: daughters: Angeline (Michael) Frisco and Rosalie (Dominic) Cianci; sister: Judith Hellinger; brother: Walter Boyles, Jr.; grandsons: Robert (Lauren) Vadino, Jr. and Brian (Renee) Vadino; 4 great grandchildren: Samantha, Jack, Isabella, and Nicholas; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Saturday from 8:15-10:15 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston, PA. FUNERAL MASS: Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 20th St. & Providence Ave., Chester. BURIAL: Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood.
