Julia A. Matyja-Shaw, age 103, a lifelong Delaware County Resident, passed away on August 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Julia was born May 26, 1920 in Chester, PA and has been a lifelong Delaware County resident. She currently lived in Eddystone. She is the wife of the late Otha T. Shaw who passed away February 14,th 1972. She is the loving mother of 14 children and grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother of a total of 262 kids. She loves spending time with her family. She also has many nieces and nephews. She is the daughter of the late Agnes and Anthony Matyja , wife of the late Otha T. Shaw (1972), mother of the late Artie Shaw, Shirley Barcus, and Beatrice Ruger and sister of the late Walter Matyja and Freda Matyja Iacono. VISITATION Thursday August 10, 2023 from 10-11:15am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston Funeral Liturgy will follow August 10, 2023 at 11:30 am at the funeral home. BURIAL will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.
